A Better Way To Book
Iceland Express, Iceland’s low-cost airline, has asked our help to redesign their booking system from the ground up.
From February 2003, Iceland Express have helped make Iceland more accessible as a tourist destination by introducing fares up to 80% cheaper than the competition.
Iceland Express’ strategy is similar to those of other low-fare airlines. There are no length-of-stay restrictions, no Sunday rule, and it’s easy to book or change bookings online. They only offer e-tickets as there primary ticketing system.
With steady growth, of passengers and destinations, they needed a better solution for their ticketing system.
Mark Boulton Design has experience in designing ticketing system having worked on the British Airways booking system for UK and Ireland when Mark Boulton was an Art Director working in London. The core of that system is still in use today. Iceland Express wanted a solution with that longevity and ease-of-use.
