What we do
We design online experiences
Making a beautiful site shouldn’t be skin deep. Our work starts by listening. We listen to your customers and try to understand your business. We organise the information we get – sketching on paper or in code – to test it on real people. Great online experiences don’t just happen, they are designed from the ground up.
Audience Research
To successfully design any website or application, we need to know about your audience. We run stakeholder interviews, workshops and focus groups to develop audience modelling tools such as Personas.
Information Architecture
Organising how your website is structured, and how users find what they need, is key to the success of any design project. We take what we learnt from your users and stakeholders, apply the business strategy and organise the information accordingly. A place for everything and everything in its place.
Interaction Design
We don't make pictures of websites. The web is an interactive medium so we use techniques and tools such as paper or HTML prototyping to make sure your design is true to the medium.
Graphic Design and Art Direction
We excel at creating beautifully crafted websites and applications for the modern web. Much of that success relies on a deep understanding of traditional design practice applied in a relevant and appropriate way.
Content Management
We build your website using content management systems such as Drupal (of which we designed the user experience for the latest version), Expression Engine or Wordpress.
We can help you with:
- Audience and User research
- User Experience Design
- Information Architecture
- Interaction and User Interface Design
- Online Branding
- Graphic Design and Art Direction
- Web application design
How we work
We adopt an iterative approach to design and development using methods such as Scrum. Why? Well, it’s quite simple: it’s lower risk, more cost effective and you, the client, get a better product as a result.
We work in quick iterative cycles, producing working prototypes that we can test with. Doing this makes sure we’re on the right track every, single iteration.
Small, agile teams
We're nimble, small, adaptable and reactive. You won't find us mired in our own processes either; your needs change, we respond. Oh, and you won't find any account handlers here; you speak to the person doing the work.
We’re web consumers
We know how to design applications for the web because we use them ourselves every day of the week. You won’t find a copy of Word or Project anywhere in sight; we’re more at home in Basecamp or Google Docs.
