WalesCymru.com is a community website to help residents and visitors of Wales get the most of the country by reviewing and recommending places to eat, drink, shop and stay.
The core offering of WalesCymru is nurturing a community with a strong sense of place. Using a rounded typeface—the stunning Bryant 2 from the Process Type Foundry—we developed a friendly brand mark to communicate the associated values of this proposition.

The website is clearly focussed on several core methods of navigation—even the search bar asks the question of the user, ‘what are you looking for, and where?’. The listings pull in geo-data and hook into the Googlemaps API to show listings of interest that are near your search results. This functionality always places the geographic location in the foreground of the interface.
Typography was a major consideration for WalesCymru. The brand typography is filtered down throughout the interface.
